To promote the importance of health, SMART Convention- "Sport Medicine and Rehabilitation Therapy Convention 2010" was launched at School of Public Health Building, Prince of Wales Hospital, Shatin. Above challenge city chaser was also involved in hosting a booth in the convention, here are some recaps of the day:

Rules and Regulations

All participants must follow the rules, regulations and instructions laid by the Organizer. Any team or participant found violating the rules, regulations or instructions will be disqualified from the competition. All the Organizer's rights, including the right to institute legal proceedings against such a participant, are expressly reserved. The Organizer also reserves the right to refuse any team to participate in or continue the race.

  1. At least one member in each team must be aged 18 or above on 5 December 2010.
  2. All participants must compete as a team and fulfill all criteria of their corresponding category.
  3. Teams must gather all the members of the team and complete the registration procedure at the designated time and location before the start of the competition.
  4. The hints of all Chase Points will be distributed before the start of the competition. Each team should plan their own route and use their own way to proceed under the regulations.
  5. Participants must complete the competition on foot or by any public transportation (except Taxi). Participants are not allowed to use any other mobility aids like Bicycle, but Participants with Disabilities can use their own mobility aids.
  6. Hiring any transportation or travelling on private cars during the competition is not allowed.
  7. All participants must display their number bibs in noticeable positions throughout the competition.
  8. “Chase Score” will be given at the Chase Point when a team arrives with all members present.
  9. “Challenge” will be provided after the team has gained “Chase Point Score”, and “Challenge Score” will be given if the “Challenge” is completed.
  10. In case of losing number bib during the competition, scores will be deducted from the corresponding team and the number bib should be re-issued at the next Chase Point.
  11. All results are based on Results Record Cards. All final decisions on the results are reserved by the Organizer.
  12. If Results Record Card is lost during the competition, the corresponding team will be disqualified. Participants must report to the next Chase Point and follow further instructions from the Organizer.
  13. All teams must carry the “Team Locator” provided by the Organizer, and ensure it has been turned on throughout the competition.
  14. In case of losing the “Team Locator”, an amount of HKD800 should be paid by the team for compensation.
  15. The completion time of a team will not be recorded until all members of the team have reached the Finish Point.
  16. If the team is not able to arrive at the Finish Point before 4pm on Event Day, the team will be disqualified. The team must report to the Organizer immediately. They should follow the Organizer’s instructions and return to the Finish Point.
  17. For safety reason, any participants withdrawing from the competition due to personal affair, injury or sickness at any time must report to the Organizer immediately. The remaining team members (at least two) may continue the race under the Organizer’s approval, but the result of this team will not be ranked. (Suggestion: The withdrawn participant should be escorted by at least one of the team members.)
  18. Participants should obey traffic regulations, keep environment clean and treasure public facilities. Although the Organizer disclaims responsibility for violating the regulations above, scores will be deducted from the corresponding team.
  19. Participants have to fill in a health declaration form on event day. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse any participants who have fever or other discomfort to continue the competition.
  20. The Organizer has the discretion to cancel the event. All application fees are non-refundable.
  21. The Organizer reserves the final right of decision in any case of disputes.
  22. The Organizer reserves the right to amend and interpret all the rules, regulations and instructions. In the event of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English version of the Rules and Regulations, the Chinese version shall prevail.
